# What You Need:

→ Nuts

01 - 1 1/2 cups raw whole almonds

→ Spices & Seasonings

02 - 1 tbsp olive oil
03 - 1/2 tsp sea salt
04 - 1/4 tsp smoked paprika or ground cayenne

# How-To:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a mixing bowl, combine almonds with olive oil, sea salt, and smoked paprika or cayenne. Toss until evenly coated.
03 - Spread seasoned almonds in a single layer across the prepared baking sheet.
04 - Roast for 12-15 minutes, stirring halfway through, until almonds are lightly golden and fragrant.
05 - Remove from oven and let cool completely. Almonds will crisp further as they cool. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • They somehow manage to taste impossibly fancy while requiring almost zero effort
  • The spices are completely customizable so you never get bored
  • They stay perfectly crisp for weeks if you can manage not to eat them all in one sitting
02 -
  • The almonds will still feel slightly soft when they first come out of the oven but this is completely normal
  • Stirring halfway through prevents the ones on the edges from burning while the center ones stay pale
  • Wait until they are completely cool before tasting or storing or you will think they are not done yet
03 -
  • Buy raw almonds in bulk from the baking aisle rather than the nut aisle to save money
  • Set a timer for the halfway stir point because nuts can go from perfect to burned incredibly fast
